Fun & Games with Lawn Fawn!

Happy Thursday to you all!

Since I have fallen completely head over heels for slim line cards, I am looking at older stamp sets in a new light and pulled out the Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters stamp & coordinating die set for this card!

Since the images on this set are really small, I wanted to have them be center stage and went with a soft and basic design and color palette.

To start my card I created an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base and trimmed some thick cardstock to fit on the front.  I then inked the piece with tumbled glass oxide ink, going lighter near the edges.  Next, I die cut some grass and inked with shabby shutters oxide ink, going lighter towards the top of the grass.

I stamped all the images from Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters stamp set, colored with light copic markers, and then cut out with the coordinating dies.  With the smaller images I always get the coordinating dies because I know I will be using lots of the cuties on one card!

I also stamped the sentiment on thick white cardstock and trimmed to fit on the grass.  Next, I layered the images with glue or pop dots varying to give them depth.

I really went back and forth deciding if I wanted to add any sequins or nuvo drops but felt it would take away from the softness and instead added some clouds from the Lawn Fawn Village Shop stamp set but Lawn Fawn has so many sets with clouds you can pick from any!

I hope I have inspired you to look at some of your older sets in a new light and share with us your creations on the Kraftgali Fan Club on Facebook!  Stop into the shop to see the great deals here!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Summer Flamingo Card

Hi crafty friends! How was your weekend? Mine was hot and very humid sure feels like summer here finally.

Today I have a Happy Summer card to share using the Fabulous- Flamingos stamp set  by Sunny Studio Stamps.

I started by stamping the images with Memento black ink onto smooth card stock then colored them in with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. I then fussy cut them all out.

I die cut a stitched rectangle out of pattern paper. Secondly I die cut a rounded corner stitched rectangle out of pattern paper.  The center of the pattern paper had a quote that I did not want on the card but I loved the flowers in the shape of a oval so I die cut the center out and backed it with some bright yellow pattern paper.

I arranged the the fruit and a couple leaves onto the bottom of the oval and layered two flamingos over them.  I had a lot of open space above the flamingos heads so I ended up stamping the sentiment "Happy Summer" above them.

Thanks for stopping by have a great week!

Part 2 Embossing Paste Miniseries: Design Your Own Background

Welcome to Part 2 of the Embossing Paste Miniseries for Kraftgali! We are still playing with amazing embossing paste!  Today’s star is Gina K's Glitz Glitter Gel in this gorgeous sparkling red.  Side note; red is my favorite color and then you add glitter to it….forget about it!  It’s my heart on paper! I love this product.  In Part 2 we are trying our hand at making our own design on the cardstock as opposed to using a stencil.  If you missed last week’s episode, we will link that one as well.  You won’t want to miss how we spruced up plain stenciling with embossing paste.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunny Studios Rainbow Fishes!

Hello my crafty friends!

Summertime is a favorite of mine!  Living in Minnesota we have beautiful days of sunshine and leaves blowing through the trees.  Another part of summertime I love is creating underwater themed cards!  I have another one for you today using the new Sunny Studio Stamps adorable Best Fishes stamp set and coordinating dies.

Slim line cards are perfect for creating long underwater scenes, and I started this with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.  I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper a little smaller than the base and inked with peacock feathers and blueprint sketch oxide inks.
Next, I used some thick white cardstock and cut the wave between the piece on my cameo silhouette, but you could easily draw a curve and cut with scissors!

I stamped the sentiment in black versafine ink and glued the two wave pieces down.  I then stamped the images from the best fishes stamp set, colored with copic markers, and die cut using the cooridating dies
I love the long flow of the card and decided a rainbow palette would work perfect with these cuties!

I adhered all the images with either glue or pop dots do give varying heights along the inked wave.  For a little embellishments I added clear nuvo drops as water droplets.

You can check out all the amazing products that Kraftgali has in the store and share with us your creations on the Kraftgali Fan Club on Facebook!

See you next Thursday as I share another creation with you!

Silly Sloth's Peaking Out Birthday Card

Happy Monday!

I love sloths! Who doesn't love sloths? They are adorable. This Monday I have a card to share using Sunny Studio's Silly Sloths stamp set. Sunny Studio's is a knew to me stamp company but I love their adorable little animal images so I will be playing with more of their stamp sets in the near future.

As soon as I pulled this stamp set out I knew what I wanted to do with it. I actually fussy cut out my stamped images before I even colored them in so I could lay it all out and see what it would look like.

A few close up pictures of the cute sloths peaking out.

I used black Nuvo drops on their noses to add a little bit of dimension and shine.
This card came together super fast. It is super simple but I love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week and I will be back again next Monday.

Embossing Miniseries: Stenciling with Deco Foil Metallix | Kraftgali

Welcome to the Embossing Paste Miniseries for Kraftgali.com.  We are going to have a blast over the next few Saturdays playing…and experimenting with embossing paste.  They are so much fun and different types give you very different results so let’s get to it.  Video #1 will focus on a technique most of us know and love; stenciling.  We will do a few extra things with the stenciling just to take it up a notch.  These projects feature the Deco Foil Metallix Gel in silver and Neat & Tangled’s Modern Triangles. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Summer Camping!

Morning friends!
How many of you look forward to summer weekends camping?  We sure do!  Although we are tent campers, I always love seeing the campsites that are all set up with the camper, gnomes and flamingos!  Here is my take on those campers.

I used a few brands to create this card, all of which can be found at the Kraftgali shop!

To create my slim line card base, I trimmed an 8 1/2 x 11 thick white cardstock to 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base and used the leftover piece for my scene.  This size allows you to use the 9A envelopes that can be found at online or at your local craft store.

To begin, I inked the top of the front piece with a ray stencil using spun sugar and squeezed lemonade oxide inks.  I then die cut the mountains from thick white cardstock and the caps from white foil paper.  Next, I die cut the hills and grass and inked each with bundled sage and shabby shutters.

I stamped the camper and pine trees from Lawn Fawn Happy Trails stamp set, the gnome, mushrooms, and flowers from Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome stamp set, and the flamingo and sentiment from Sunny Studios Fabulous Flamingos.  I colored them very lightly with copic markers and fussy cut most of them out and used the coordinating dies to the fabulous flamingos.

To put it all together, I layered each section, pop dotting the grass above the camper and pop dotting the camper, trees, gnome and flamingo.  For a simple embellishment, I added white nuvo drops.

Are you creating some summer cards too?  Please share them with us at the Kraftgali Fan Club on FB and check out all the brand names in the Kraftgali store!

Thanks for stopping in,

Lawn Fawn Village Box Card

Happy Monday crafty friends! I hope you all had a great weekend mine was crazy busy we just finished a season of dance with a recital.

We are getting into the busy days of summer. My daughter had a birthday a couple of weeks ago so the card I have to share is the one I gave her.

I just learned how to make a box card this is my second one. I'm not sure why I took so long to learn they are easy and so much fun. I will be making many more in the future.

I enjoy just coloring small images and fussy cutting them out when watching t.v. with my family so I always have extra pieces laying around for box cards.

I cut all of my panels out of Bella Blvd. pattern paper.

For this card I used Lawn Fawn's Village set I stamped all of the images onto water color paper and colored them in with Arteza real brushes before I fussy cut them out.

This is a front view of the card. I adhered a white piece of card stock to the back panel so I could write a little message to my daughter and sign the card. I think the back is perfect for a little panel to write on because when the card is displayed that panel is not shown.

Here is a side view. I thought the house paper would go with the little village inside of the card.

The other side of the card.

Have a great week I will be back next Monday!

Memory Box Double Stitched Heart Dies

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to our Saturday craft day!  We are having a blast playing with alcohol inks and dies.  No stamping required today!  I’m going to make my background first and then add a bit of fun to it with some foiling before using it to cut down my heart dies using the Memory Box Double Stitched Heart Dies.  The end result leaves me with two card projects today so you know that’s always a great thing!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
