Masking and Stenciling with Lawn Fawn Coaster Critters

Hello everyone! Today's card is so much stinking fun! We are going to be playing with the new release from Lawn Fawn called Coaster Critters!  I absolutely LOVE amusement parks and I wanted this card to mirror a park I loved as a child!  I started by making a mask with my Lawn Fawn cloud border dies so that I could make that soft sky. I used Distress ink for the blend and they worked magically.  Then I stamped out the large coaster from the set using some alcohol marker-friendly ink so that I could color with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I masked the coaster so that I could stamp out the trees behind it.  It was slightly time consuming but I wanted a one layer-ish card and this was the best way to get that look.  Pretty simple card and so thrilling to do!! :) Thanks for stopping by.

Girl and Boy Birthday Cards with N&T Little Monster

Hello everyone!  Today's card features Neat and Tangled Little Monster.  I love that this stamp set comes with a coordinating die that actually cuts out the word MONSTER!!  Yay!  Win for Neat and Tangled.  I made a boy and a girl card, and colored up the images using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I used Distress Oxide ink for he clouds.  For he cloud "stencil" I just first cut it out using Lawn Fawn's Cloud border die.  This is a super easy way to use what you already may have in your stash.  I used more Oxide ink for the grass and then finished it off with some water droplets for fun.  Lastly, I put my card together using Nuvo Glue and finished off the balloons and the word MONSTER with some Nuvo Crystal Glaze.  LOVE that stuff!!!  Thanks so much for crafting with us today.

DT Project Happy Dad's Day with Gansai Tambi Watercolors

Today's project is so fun and so easy to do.  Sometimes you just need a fast and simple card that packs a punch!  And these Kuretake Gansai Tambi  watercolors are so great.  The richness of each color is so beautiful.  I started with placing the color down on my watercolored cardstock in both the green and blue.  To achieve this look, it only took two layers of paint.  Then I heat embossed both the grill and sentiment from the Hero Arts Dad's Day set, and finshed off the card with filling in the grill with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  BAM! Done :).  Thanks so much for joining us today!

Foiling Without Heat feat Gina K and Hero Arts Sun Die

Hello everyone!  Today's card features a few different techniques.  I used Gina K Foils without heat, and a Hero Arts Sun Die as a stencil.  It's so great when you can find alternate ways to use things in order to get more from what you have.  I started ink blending some Distress Oxide Ink in the colors Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry through the stencil of the Hero Arts Sun Die stencil.  Once I'm happy with the blend, I sprayed it with my new shimmer spray by Tattered Angels  in the pearl color.  I absolutely love the affect this gives.  So soft and pretty.  My final touch to the card are these foiled hearts.  I placed the foil over a Stick-It sheet and then cut it out with various sizes of heart dies.  I love that I didn't have to use heat for this technique.  I hope you give it a try!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

DT Project feat Prima Marketing - 2 Ways to Color Background Stamps

Hello everyone!  Today's Design Team Project features this beautiful background stamp from Prima Marketing.  It was so fun to color and I will show you two different ways to do just that; one very simple and fast, and one more therapeutic!

I started off by stamping the background stamp on some watercolor and Bristol smooth paper so that I can do some easy watercoloring with my Zig markers.  Once heat embossed I dipped the watercolor panel into Distress Oxide Ink to get the blend of colors I prefer.  That was the easy coloring and I highly recommend it.

The more time intensive coloring came with the Bristol smooth paper because I chose to color each individual flower.  SO FUN!

I finished off the cards with some sparkle using both the Nuvo Mica Mist in Silver Smoke and Tattered Angels in Pearl.   Thank you so much for stopping by!
