3-layered Stamping with Sunny Studios Bold Balloons

Hello everyone! Today's cards feature Bold Balloons from Sunny Studios.  I have loved these stamps from the first time I saw them.  They look so realistic and bring such a great dimension to your cards. Sometimes layered stamping can seem intimidating but I think we can all agree once we see the end result, it's magical.  And these stamps from Sunny Studio are some of the easiest muli-layering stamps I've ever used.  They are amazing! I started by using three colors of Distress Oxide Inks  which, because of their pigmented property, stamped really well.
After stamping the star balloons, I ink blended some Tattered Rose around the edge of the card but happened to drag some of the red from the stars and it smudged a bit.  I then used a Tombow Mono Sand Eraser to pick up some of the ink; works like a charm.  I finished off the first card by filling the balloons with Glossy Accents and Nuvo Glitter Drops.  The second card was similar with a little more focus on the background.  I was able to use quite a few of the stamps in this set which is always awesome!!

See-through Circle Card with Lawn Fawn's Slow Down and Enjoy by Mary Polanco

Hello everyone!  I'm so glad you are crafting with us as we have a blast with this super easy, but WOW card!  Today's card features Lawn Fawn's Slow Down and Enjoy Stamps.  I started off the card by stamping and coloring the elephant from the Lawn Fawn Slow Down and Enjoy stamp set. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them in both warm greys and cool greys.  (I'm saving the warm grey elephant for a future project).
Once my coloring was complete, I worked on the background and made it as simple as I could.   First I ink blended Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick to get an ombre look.  Then I put a Hero Arts Stencil over it to get a tone on tone look.  Lastly, I spritzed the panel with water to get a more distressed look.  Once complete I used a circle die to cut through the inked up panel as well as the Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock.
I placed the front and back of my elephant together using foam dots and nestled him into the circle.  I finished off the card by tying some grey and white baker's twine around the card and tied a small bow with long strings to cascade down the front of the card.  To secure the bow, I placed a small glue dot behind it!
That will do it for this super fun and fast card.  Thanks so much for joining us today!  We'll see you for the next card!

Shaker Card featuring Hero Arts Mermaid Kisses

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by the blog!  Today, I'm doing a super simple shaker card that I feel packs a big punch.  Whenever you use clean line, symmetrical shapes for your shaker cards, the results are seamless, easy to assemble, and a fun card for your recipient.

I started off the card by making a fun watercolor background and then stenciled over it with Distress Oxides to get the water affect.  While letting that dry, I worked on my mermaid.  She was so fun to color with my alcohol markers!  After that I cut a frame using Lawn Fawn rectangle stitched dies and attached heat resistant acetate so that I could emboss my sentiment on it.
When heat embossing on acetate, remember to move your heat gun around a bit; don't stay too long on one area.  Ask me how I figured THAT one out. lol  Assembly of the card was so easy and came together seamlessly! I used double mounted foam tape on the back of the frame, and then poured these amazing sequins down on my background.  I placed the frame over it and bam...shaker done!
Thank you so much for crafting with us today.  Head over to the shop for some amazing deals and new products!
