Lawn Fawn You(Calyptus) Card.

Hi crafty friends I'm so excited to be back again this week to share a card with you guys! I love this little stamp set by Lawn Fawn for a little stamp set it is so adorable.

I stamped the koala bear, flower, and eucalyptus in Memento black ink onto smooth white cardstock. I stamped a couple just in case I messed up and if I don't I can make more then one card. I colored in the images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

For the background I used the Tumbling Heart's stencil by Newton's Nook Designs on red paper with red ink. Then I die cut it with a rectangle stitched edge die. I die cut two more rectangles out of pattern paper to layer on my card.

I stamped the hearts with white pigment ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I fussy cut the hearts out and adhered them to the front of the card. I added clear Nuvo drops to the center of the open hearts.

I die cut a banner and stamped the sentiment in white pigment ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I love this little koala bear he is way too cute. As a last little detail I added clear Nuvo drops on his eyes and on his nose. I used a pin to even it out on his nose.

Kissing Pandas for Valentine's Day

Welcome friends!

Today I am bringing you a Valentine's card with non traditional colors.  I love spicing things up that way and trying new color combos for holidays!  I used the ever cute pandas from Mama Elephants Panda stamp & die set.

To start my card I trimmed 110lb white cardstock to create a 5x7 card base.  I then trimmed some watercolor paper to fit a little smaller over the front.  Next, I inked the watercolor paper with Tim Holtz oxide inks in tumbled glass, broken china, mustard seed, & squeezed lemonade and splattered with white paint using a wet paint brush.

While I let that dry, I stamped the pandas with black ink and die cut using the coordinating dies that come with the stamp set!  Yeah for all in one!  I lined them up on the bottom and then stamped the ever adorable sentiment and then pop dotted the pandas next to it.

For the lanterns, I stamped and die cut them from the Mama Elephant Panda stamp & die set and colored with copic markers.  I then lined them up and added the black and white twine with glue dots to create the line.  Next, I pop dotted each lantern along the twine and glue dotted the mint sequins under each lantern.

For the final touches, I added my shimmer on each lantern using the wink of stella and a little silver heart I cut from my cameo between the two kissing pandas.

I wish everyone a crafty weekend and I hope I inspired you try some new color combos yourself!

First Design Team Project- City Stacks

Hi crafty friends it's Crystal here today I'm super excited to be sharing my first design team post for Kraftgali.

This week I thought I would play with this fun stamp set City Stacks by Concord & 9th. This stamp set is adorable and so many options I will be using this set many times in the future.

I started our with stamping all of the image onto some white paper scraps I knew I would be fussy cutting them out. I stamped in Momento black ink so I could color them in with Alcohol markers. When I had all of the images colored in I fussy cut them then I set them aside to work on my card base.

I inked the almost the whole front of my card base with  a dark blue ink because I wanted to do a night scene on my card. I went over it a couple times to get it really dark.

Once the ink is completely dry I stamped the sentiment up on the top right corner with VersaMark and stamped stars all over the sky. I added Metallic Gold Wow embossing powder on all of my stamped images and heat set them.

After all of the stamping was done I ended up cutting the last house off and cutting the trees apart. I used Scotch Foam Mounting Tape to add dimension to all of the layers.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. I love it so much I is just perfect to send to a friend who lives faraway to let them know you are thinking of them.

Have a great day I look forward to seeing you all next week!
