Llama tell you...Lawn Fawn

Hello Kraftgali crafters!

Today I'm bringing you a fun and cheerful card using lots of Lawn Fawn products from the kraftgali shop! 

I love these new stamps from Lawn Fawn, Llama tell you stamp and die and Oh Gnome stamp set!  They have such fun sentiments and images!

I used the reveal wheel die from Lawn Fawn for the first time and love moving the wheel around and around!   I will say that it would be much easier with the new reveal wheel templates instead of having to pencil and then erase the marks.  I had to reapply the oxide ink and it made the black ink a little hazy.

I started the card by die cutting a stitched 110lb white cardstock on the same paper used to create  5x7 card base.  I used TH watercolor paper and die cut the frame with the window and inked with carved pumpkin and dried marigold and then used a paintbrush and water to flick the colors onto the inked paper.  I also added some white splatters too. 

I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Llama tell you set with versafine black ink and from the reveal wheel sentiments stamp set.  I then added the green stitched grass from the Lawn Fawn really rainbow paper pad along the bottom.  I stamped the images from the two stamp sets with the quote bubble, colored with copic markers, cut out, and pop dotted on the front.

I love the fun new Lawn Fawn release and how fun they are to use on a fun spring card!

Lawn Fawn Village Shops Card!

Hi crafty friends! Happy Monday! Hope you had a fun weekend I had a three day weekend since my kiddos had school off on Friday but a busy Saturday full of activities. 

This week I had fun playing with Lawn Fawns adorable Village Shops stamp set. 

One of my favorite things to do with a stamp set is coloring and fussy cutting the images out. So you might be able to guess what I did. I stamped all of the images (I missed one building not sure how) with Versa fine black ink. For these images I wanted to play with my Arteza Real Brush Pens so I stamped them all onto watercolor paper. 

After they were all colored I fussy cut them out. I love coloring the buildings in bright colors that you would not expect to see on a building. Those ice cream trucks are so super adorable. This stamp set has so many ways it can be used I have one card to share today but I see making lots of cards with all the extra pieces I cut out. 

For my card today I die cut a 5 1/2"X 4 1/4" stitched rectangle out of pattern paper then adhered a small rectangle stitched die cut rectangle with rounded edges on top of that. The next layer I die cut an oval with blue paper for the sky and green for the grass. I adhered my elements with foam tape. Stamped a couple clouds in the sky stamping the second one with out re-inking so it was a little bit lighter. Lastly I stamped the sentiment and adhered the whole panel to a top folding 5 1/2"X 4 1/4" card base.

NEW! Ranger Alcohol Pearl Inks

Happy Saturday craft day!!  For today’s project we are going to play with these amazing Ranger Alcohol Pearl Inks.  Oh goodness are they stunning!  I was able to get so many different looks with these inks.  I even started using a water brush filled with Alcohol Blending solution to assist in moving the colors around to get the desired result.  I was so impressed with the shimmer and pearlescent attributes of the inks even when dry.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

DIY Shaker Embellishments

Hi there,

Today I am doing to share a process video of these cute shaker embellishments on YouTube Channel. These would come handy to use in the middle of a card or any scrapbook layout.

I think they turned out so sweet!

For my shakers, I have cut frame from white cardstock, pattern paper & 2 layers of foam sheets. You may use a felt sheet also. you could use just 1 foam, but I prefer a minimum of 2, so, there is room in there for the sequins to move around & an extra dimension.

You will also need some sort of clear acetate or packaging - use anything you have in hand to use as shaker window. Take the frame & trace it on your acetate piece - not too exact, its fine as long as you stay inside the frame & outside its center. Using the acetate piece- trace it on another cardstock piece which would be your embellishment's bottom.

I used strong double sided adhesive to assemble them. Having a good adhesive for shaker card is the key! (to prevents spills and leaks). I've some coordinating colors of sequins & beads.

Don’t put too much sequins & beads, leave some space for them to "shake". 

You can make these for all sorts of occasion

The Magic of the Magic Picture Changer from Lawn Fawn!

Welcome back my crafty friends!

Today I am so excited to share with you the new interactive Magic Picture Changer die & Magic Picture Changer add-on die from Lawn Fawn!  I pre-ordered these from Kraftgali and couldn't wait to create with them!

For this card I wanted to use the new Get Well before n' after stamp set which is made specifically for the Magic Picture Changer dies and add-on dies, but I know I will use them for regular cards too!

To start my card, I trimmed 110lb white cardstock to a 5x7 card base.  I then die cut a piece of Lawn Fawn green striped pattern paper and adhered to the center of the card base.  Next, I stamped my sick whale on a larger piece of alcohol marker paper and colored with copic markers.  I then stamped the same whale on a post it, cut out, and used as a mask to do one layer inking.  I then inked with weathered wood oxide ink and then die cut out using the straight across magic picture changer die, and set aside.

I took another piece of alcohol marker paper and stamped the healthy whale, colored with copic markers.  I made a mask with the healthy whale and then inked with tumbled glass oxide ink.  I stamped the water splashes and waves with broken china oxide ink.  I then added a few white pen accents on the image and then die cut out with the diagonal magic picture changer die. I did rub each die cut image with the anti static pouch, which really helps the papers move!  Next, I put the two pictures together by following the video on the Lawn Fawn website which has great instructions for all the interactive dies they have!

I added the pull tab with the left over green and the white stitch cover from the add-on dies and the stitched frame from the original die set. 

For the bottom, I die cut some watercolor paper with a wave stitch and inked the two pieces with tumbled glass and broken china oxide inks.  Next, I stamped the get whale soon with black ink on a die cut stitched banner.  I layered this in my misti stamping tool and stamped the second sentiment under the banner.  I then die cut the hugs from Altenew script dies in blue foil paper. 

For the final touches, I added two stamped and colored underwater plants, some nuvo jewel drops in green and blue, and green sequins. 

I am so glad you swung by the kraftgali blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try an interactive card!  This one is as easy as they come and so full to watch the picture change as you pull the tab (I have done it at least 20 times!!!)
