DT Project using Krumsprings Geometry Set

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to the Kraftgali blog! When I set down to make a project with this stamp set, I was overwhelmed with ideas.  At first glance, it seems like it is just shapes...

But it is so much more than that. I started to envision all the things these shapes COULD Be and that is where my creativity took over.  In this post, I'll show you 4 cards, with 3 different designs, all with this one set.
The first card is a Distress Oxide background bokeh affect.  If you don't own any solid circle stamps, we need to change that because this is so fun!  I got my Bristol Smooth Paper all inky and then started going to town with my white ink pad and the circle stamps in the set.  I also did that with the shape that looks like a stop sign but doesn't have 8 sides....what is that called?? lol  I then made them into shaker cards!  YAY!

The next card highlighted the circle stamp again and this time I made a balloon bunch!  How fun!!! When I first finished all the masking and the stamping, I was not pleased with the white space between the balloons. But as luck would have it, I needed some shading anyway, so off I went with my Spectrum Noir gray marker to fix that.  I finished it off with some white highlights and then some cloud stenciling in the background.

The last card I built a scene with the stamps in the set and some masking with some Inkadinkadoo masking paper.  This is my stab at a clean and simple card with a few fun elements.  Once I stamped out the images, I finished them off with some white gel pen to mimic cherry blossoms.  This one resembles something more abstract or whimsical to me.

Double Masking with Neat and Tangled Koalifications

Hello everyone!  Today we are doing some double masking with Inkadinkadoo Masking baby so that we get this super cute effect with our Koala. This stamp set is from Neat and Tangled, and it's called Koalifications.  The sentiments are amazing because there is one for Valentine's Day, Friendship, and hugs, which sort of covers all the basis.  AND you can pull out other stamps from your stash and curve them around his banner, making them birthday, congrats, or whatever sentiment you like.

The video tutorial will walk you through how I did this; but a couple things to note.  Be sure to laydown your mask straight because sometimes it is hard to tell right away.  Also, if you heat emboss your images, be sure to not place the heat over the masking paper for too long as that will peel it up a little bit.  I just pressed it down to make it stick again and all was great!  This masking paper is amazing and can be used for multiple cards if you are using the same ink colors.   Thank you so much for stopping by to craft with us!

Get Well Soon with Lawn Fawn

Hello everyone!  Welcome to the Kraftgali Blog!  We are sending some well wishes and cheer today with this set of Get Well Soon cards using the Lawn Fawn set.  It was so much fun to play with this small set because no matter how little, you can find so many ways to use it and love it!  Join us over at the Kraftgali Channel for this tutorial and many other amazing ones from the creative team!

I started by making some backgrounds with my alcohol markers that I have in my stash and Ranger's Alcohol blending solution.  It was a great way to use what I had in order to play with this awesome technique.  Once I had my backgrounds made, I cut out frames with a rectangle, square (turned like a diamond shape) and heart die.  Then I started playing with placement in order to finish our the cards.  The final card was using some left over pieces I had like the leftover heart die and a Get Well Die i had in my stash.  I love using up all of the things laying around on my desk because honestly, how can ACTUALLY throw any of this stuff in the trash!?? :)
These were very fast and easy to make and assemble and would be a great surprise to brighten anyone's day (hopefully).
Here are some still shots of all the cards.
